This "Church on the Prairie" has been a landmark for Marshall County and all it's neighbors. The church has survived due to strong faith and dedication of it's members throughout the years. Mission, community outreach, and evangelism have always been important to the members of La Prairie United Presbyterian Church. Generosity is extended to the immediate community and surrounding areas, across state lines, and foreign countries. The entire church body supports numerous mission projects with hard work, material donations and financial gifts.
We are a Bible based, ECO Presbyterian Church located at 701 County Rd 400 E, Sparland, IL 61565. We are the "White Church on the Prairie"- still growing!
Please join us for coffee before church! Our service starts at 9:30 a.m. with the ringing of the bell. Children's sermon is held with the entire congregation, and then the kids attend Sunday School during the main service, usually with crafts and learning projects. Services typically run until 10:30. Fellowship is held afterwards, and meals are hosted once a month for the church community. There are some special services throughout the year, as well as other fun events such as Vacation Bible School for younger children and Youth Group activities for those in 5th-12th grades.
